At Winning Performance, we’re frequently engaged to be a coach and sounding board for CEOs, Chiefs and GMs alike. Our executive development process is respectful of all the knowledge, skills and experience the executive already possesses, and supports them in the areas that will make the most difference to them personally, and to the business.

  1. The executive will feel respected because we take a coaching approach, rather than positioning ourselves as “all-knowing” experts who tell them what to do;  
  2. The executive will be confident they’re working on the right things because we utilise multiple approaches to understanding their strengths and development areas, such as psychometric assessments, 360-degree surveys, etc.;
  3. The executive will be motivated to work on the areas identified because we help them create a compelling and practical development plan that isn’t focused on just more training;
  4. The executive will maintain their enthusiasm and progress because we follow up and support them over time with regular executive coaching; and
  5. The executive’s leader or chair will feel confident progress is being made in areas that matter to the business because of the way we involve them in the design of the development plan and help them be part of the executive’s support system.

  1. Executives are often supporting many people, but have few people supporting them in return. Our process ensures executives have high-quality support, to benefit both them and the business.
  2. To get to their position, executives have usually already done a lot of work on themselves. The areas that are left tend to be further from their comfort zone. Our process leverages the executive’s strengths and passions to help them make progress in those areas, assuming they are relevant to the role.
  3. When executives are swamped with “business as usual”, it can be hard to devote the time and effort to developing themselves and others. Our process enables them to efficiently target the most relevant development areas and provides support to keep them on track so they realise the benefits of their efforts.
  4. Sometimes executives have been given advice, but have appeared to ignore it. We understand humans don’t like being told what to do, and find it hard to remember.
