At Winning Performance, we love helping teams achieve an “over the odds” result. Our team development programme is fun, while simultaneously improving team effectiveness. It has 2 parts: Team Purpose, Priorities and Objectives; and Team Culture. For executive teams, see our executive team development service.
Team Purpose, Priorities and Objectives:
- The team will be ‘on board’ with what they’re trying to achieve and how they intend to get there because we involve them in formulating a shared team purpose, priorities and objectives;
- The team will feel empowered to manage their workload and priorities because we help them identify what is most important to the team; and
- The team will be motivated to support each other and keep each other accountable because we reinforce the principle that the team only succeeds when everyone succeeds.
Team Culture:
- The team will feel more bonded because we incorporate fun and meaningful interactive (but never embarrassing!) activities as part of the session;
- The team will be in agreement about how they intend to work together because although we share ideas inspired by the high-performing team research, we empower the team to personalise these to their team’s context in the form of tangible “above the line” and “below the line” behaviours;
- The team will be able to implement what they’ve agreed because we focus on cultivating practical behaviours rather than teaching theory; and
- The team will feel like the time spent together was worth it, because not only are the sessions fun but they also make a difference to how the team collaborates when they’re back in the office.
Here’s how our team development programme improves performance
- Some teams are full of talented, hardworking individuals who are keen to work together, but are pulling in different directions. Our programme helps teams realise the synergies that should come from working together by ensuring they are all pulling in the same direction.
